The PLS2 shunt adapter is designed for use with PL series solar charge controllers. It allows the controller to measure charge or load currents that do not go through the controller. This allows inverter or generator currents to be included in the controller’s display. Note: The Amp hour reading and SOC will not be meaningful unless ALL the currents in the system are measured.
The PLS2 shunt adapter measures the current in a current shunt and converts that measurement into a digital form. This data is then sent to the PL controller. Up to two external shunts can be added to PL20/40/60 Solar Charge Controllers to allow them it to measure larger currents than it is capable of measuring directly. The SH200shunt adapter measures the current in a shunt, converts it to digital information via the PLS2, and sends that information back to the PL. The connection to the shunt is DC isolated from the PL so the shunt can be placed in any part of the circuit. Currents up to 250A can be measured.
Note: Used with SH200 Shunt and PL series controllers. Shielded data cable W/X/Y/Z-S not included.
